Je mnoho veselých knih, ale jen málo knih o radosti. O radosti jako o téměř základní životní potřebě, nutné k tomu, abychom zažívali pocity harmonie a štěstí.
Fotograf Milan Pitlach ve svých černobílých snímcích zachytil ony prchavé okamžiky, kdy se odpoutáváme od starostí, vymaňujeme se ze všednodennosti, kdy se nacházíme v samém epicentru smyslu bytí. Radost není umělý konstrukt, ale intenzivní pocit, který může prožívat každý z nás. Jen na něj přes složitosti světa mnohdy zapomínáme. Podobně jako na to, že právě tyto chvíle milosti dokáží být protipólem konečnosti, nám všem také společné danosti smrti. There are many joyful books, but few books about joy - about joy as an almost basic necessity of life, essential for us to experience feelings of harmony and happiness. In his black-and-white images, photographer Milan Pitlach has captured those fleeting moments when we detach ourselves from worries and break free from everyday life, moments when we find ourselves at the very epicenter of the meaning of being. Joy is not an artificial construct but an intense feeling accessible to each and every one of us. It's just that the complexities of the world often cause us to forget about it - just as we forget that it is precisely these moments of grace that form an antithesis to the finality of existence and the givenness of death shared by us all. Milan Pitlach's images of people at moments of spontaneous joy remind us of the things that, however intangible, are more important in a person's life than all the belongings in the world.
