The lack of They causes many problems in academic writings for describing methods and results, discussing findings, persuading readers, and establishing interpersonal relations between readers and writers. This book is conducted to examine the hedging phenomenon in different sections of English and Persian linguistics research articles RAs based on Varttala (2001) and Hyland (1996, 2000) taxonomies.
