Jasan Burin architekt: Jistoty a pochyby

Kniha sleduje životní osudy a dílo česko-amerického architekta Jasana Burina (1929). Úvod patří jeho poutavému životnímu příběhu, zaznamenanému formou osobního vyprávění, jádrem knihy nicméně zůstává jeho architektonická práce. Burinova pestrá architektonická tvorba je interpretovaná v kontextu dějin architektury 20. století a představená důkladněji prostřednictvím 53 vybraných projektů a realizací. Kniha je bohatě ilustrovaná fotografiemi a kresbami z osobního archivu Jasana Burina, které prozrazují, mnohdy s velkou nadsázkou, jeho další celoživotní lásku vedle architektury: automobily, lokomotivy a stroje všeho druhu.

The book traces the life and work of Czech-American architect Jasan Burin (1929). Following the story of his colorful life, based on an interview conducted in Spring 2013, the book concentrates on his architectural work. This is interpreted within the context of 20th century architecture and represented by a selection of 53 projects. The book contains more than 400 illustrations from Jasan Burin´s personal archives: apart from photographs and plans of his architectures also witty drawings which reveal another love of Burin´s life: automobiles, locomotives andall kinds of machines.
